Further teaching materials and teaching aids are compiled on this wiki page of OpenStreetMap.

The aforementioned wiki page also lists data sources (geodata and web services) that could be useful for teaching. With the appropriate technical know-how, geodata can be imported into uMap by name and used there directly without having to enter the data manually (again). Examples of data that can be extracted from OpenStreetMap are benches, fountains, rubbish bins and castles - some of which are also included in the worksheets and in the "OpenStreetMap Tagging Cheatsheet" (see "Unterrichtsmaterialien").

Would you like to contribute to OpenSchoolMaps? You can do so in various ways:

  • Download the PDF files and annotate suggestions for improvement in the appropriate places. You can then e-mail these PDFs to us.

  • Create an issue (suggestion for improvement) on the repository of OpenSchoolMaps here for the attention of the development team.

  • If you have experience with Git, you can also simply submit a "pull request" with your changes.
